Clients, patients, and peer professionals alike recognize Elaine's spirited client-centered approach to treatment. She bridges the gap. takes the time to listen and build rapport with every client. She believes every client has a different background and individual needs and understands the importance of enabling the clients through compassionate-care and ensuring they feel not only heard, but moreover understood. Both current and past clients often turn to Ms. Werner-Hudson when pursuing other treatment paradigms and are compatible with both outpatient and inpatient rehab and long-term follow-up following these programs to help ensure clients feel grounded and supported in their recovery journey. To her credit, unlike the rehab industry in general, she doesn't turn her back on high-risk clients as "untreatable", subject to perpetual turn-style approach to rehab. Rather she understands many clients not only possess many aspects of self-worth, but moreover, this population often consists of sensitive, caring, intelligent, and creative people who need to tap into their dreams and potential to discover that they are truly amazing individuals.
Ms. Werner-Hudson's most recent achievement was with the formation of LYNXCounseling, LLC - an online counseling platform built from the ground up, offering her client-centered strategies and empowering her clients through self-rediscovery. As an innovator in the chemical-dependency field, the platform allows clients to sign up and schedule face-to-face sessions, using smart phones and and camera/microphone equipped Macs/PCs. Thus, allowing clients to schedule appointments that works with their own busy schedules, at their own pace, quality and long-term follow-up care, at only a fraction of the price of most inpatient programs. For clients residing in Colorado, specifically the Boulder County area, she is open to provide counseling face-to-face.
Although Elaine has has a strong passion for helping people and has dedicated her life to this cause, as remembrance of losing her son to an overdose in 2007. She enjoys spending her free-time with her horse, Cobain [who bears a striking resemblance to Kurt Cobain, of the 1990s grunge-punk-rock band, Nirvana], is currently in the process of learning French and has a profound appreciation for human connection, as well as both art and science.
